Need help with battery / electrical
I have a '73 F250 Trailer Special with a 390, when I bought the truck it had a cab over camper on it so the truck used two batteries. I got rid of the camper so I no longer need the second battery. Here's my problem, I disconnected the battery isolator but now I'm not sure where the two lose wires in the picture go. I know this is probably some thing simple but when it comes to wiring and wiring diagrams I might as well be trying to read ancient hieroglyphs.

Thanks for any help you can offer! TM.
You can go camping or hang out with your truck and keep your radio on and not be stuck somewhere with a dead battery. This is how my truck is wired.
Dual battery system consisting of 2 Optima blue tops deep cycle batteries separated by a high current continuous duty solenoid when the ignition is off. You can buy the solenoid at any RV or boat supply center or a good auto parts store. When you engine is running the solenoid is closed so that your alternator is charging both batteries. The output of the alternator should be wired to the battery side of you starting solenoid.
I made my own high current cables from 4ga automotive cable you can buy from any electronic supplier. Always make sure you have good grounds going to the chassis, negative side of your battery and the engine block. Most of your wierd electrical issues are caused by bad grounds.
I know I kind of got off of subject but sometimes a project requires some re-engineering to be successful. Good Luck.
