I need to replace the sway bar end links for my 79 F150 4wd (no lift), and no one sells the links. Every website and shop I go to tries to sell me "link kits" which just have the bushings.
I've also searched the internet by the Ford part number (D8TA-5K483-BA), and nothing came up. Schucks (one of a few places I visited) searched by this cross-reference, and nothing came up. Why are these parts so hard to find? Does anyone know where else I could check? I've visited all FTE sponsors whose websites seemed appropriate, lmc, jegs, napa, schucks, rockauto, google shopping, amazon, a couple ford dealers, bronco GY, and more. I want new parts, if possible, so visiting the junk yard isn't my first choice. /help! please!
You should be able to buy some generic ones and they will work. I had the same issue with my brothers lancer. I had him buy some generic ones and I cut the sleeve down with a grinder and they worked fine.
11 try ebay [world suspension] and also ebay [ energy-suspension-dealer] between the 2 i got every thing i needed for both my 78/79 trucks and my 79 granada thats very hard to find parts for as they are very rare now good luck
I checked rockauto, and the only part that is not the bushing kit is an acdelco part... but there are no pictures, and the descriptions are not helpful. have you bought these particular parts by any chance?
