'99 or 00'
Hey everyone,
Iam looking to buy a new Ranger, to replace my '93 ranger. I dont know which one to buy. It is between the '99 or '00 4.0 xlt 4x4. Iam just wondering if there is any big differences between them. From my reasearch there isn't a big difference, or if Is hould look at some other models, but its got to be a ford!!.You guys know your rangers and I hope you can help me out. Thanks in advance.

'99 or 00'
The ONLY difference between '99 and '00 is that the Off-Road package had one extra skidplate for the radiator in '00.
In '01 there were big changes....a new front grill and headlights and a new OHC version of the 4.0 that made 207 Horsepower (but not anymore torque so who cares).
Either the '99 or '00 will do you just fine! If you can find one still under warranty that would be ideal.

OH, I did forget one thing. In '00 Ford changed the tail-lights. I like my '99 tail-lights better because they have amber-colored turn signals, which in my opinion is higher visibility and therefore safer. I have no clue why Ford changes the tail-light patterns each year.
