Ken, what driveshaft/ mount mods were necessary to do this swap?

Driveshaft was shortened...took it to a place that did it.

Rear tranny mount moved back...very easy to do.

Wow, that's some good info, Chris, thanks. I was wondering though, in your '70 F-100, what transmission are you using? You said you get 1900rpm at 60 mph, I was just curious. Thanks

Anthony -- I'm sorry I guess I wasn't clear in my post -- I have a 9" rear end OUT OF A '70 F-100 in my '49 F-1 . . . I guess the rest of the '70 F-100 is still in the junkyard or has been long since recycled into shovels, rakes, and implements of destruction!

When you use the M5OD what do you use for a clutch pedal. Did you use the F150 assembly? If not what did you use?

I used the stock pedal in my '67 and the hydraulic clutch set-up from the 1990. If you remove all the rods from the original (67-72) set-up, it's as easy as cutting, welding, drilling and bolting. I have the whole thing in my head...let me know if ya need the info. It's really quite easy to do.
