I just bought a 1996 F350 crew cab dually XLT with a 460 in it.
I'm having issues with the power windows. They all work from the master switch, but not from the individual door switches. I've pulled the door panels and checked for incoming power at the switch, and there isn't any. I've gone inside the cab and checked the connection where the harness goes into the door, and no power. So, before I rip out the seats and carper, can someone tell me where the power comes from for all the doors.
Also, how does the Circuit Breaker work?? Is it an auto reset breaker?? I ask because sometimes the rear window gets jammed and none of the windows work, but a couple minutes later they do, and I notice the dome light dims when they work and doesn't dim when they don't work.
thanks a million, I now know that my master switch is bad, the lock out button is not closing so I don't get power to the doors, but the master switch operates the other doors. Since I don't care about locking out the other windows, I just soldered a jumper on the backside of the switch and everything is working fine now.
On another note, I have ordered the EVTM from helm inc. but they don't offer a cd copy and it looks like yours is on cd, where can I get the cd??
Appreciate the help, and hopefully in the future I can return the favor.
