staying off topic.... i got rear ended last saturday. the insurance company wants to settle for 435.00. because my truck is "old". that dont mean the parts are cheaper, or i like it less. i just wanted a new bumper,i got hit hard enough to bend mine under the bed. now i see why people have back pains.

How much does a new rear bumper cost? I would have though you could get a new rear ranch hand for around that.

I was thinking the ranch hand had the brackets welded in place and came as a 1 piece bolt to the frame set up.

I would think for that much you could go to a junk yard, find the same bumper and be money ahead on the whole deal.
