timing issues?
my '74 390 is having issues, when i go from idle to putting my foot on the floor.
it'll sputter and shut off, or i have to let off and let the ignition catch up.
got no idea what to do, help would be greatly appreciated.

what he's talking about in that post is exactly what my truck is doing.
but they think it could be a flat knuckle on the camshaft,
i have a brand new one that my dad bought for his 390 that he never used and gave to me if i needed it.
if it comes to swapping it ive got a set of lifters too. but i dont want to have to do that.
