fuel problem????
Hopefully someone here will know what this is.I've got an '89 EFI 351w Bronco. It's been one thing after the other with this truck for 2 years now. Anyhow, I went out this morning and it wouldn't start. I checked a few things, then tried some starting fluid, and she started right up and then died. I only had an 1/8 tank of gas, so I added some, sprayed some more starting fluid in and she started. I let it run for 15 minutes or so, breathed a sigh of relief, and shut it off. A few minutes later I tried to start it and same thing all over again. This time I was well over 1/4 tank, so its not that. I can hear the in-tank pump running and I can feel the frame pump running. With KOEO test I get a code 31(which I've always had even after new EGR), and codes 87 and 95. The book says primary and secondary fuel pump circuit fault, but I have no idea what this means! Is it possible the frame pump is going bad? The in-tank is only 1 month old, so I don't think it's that. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!P.S.- This problem seems to be intermitten... I had the truck running a couple more times today, and a few it wouldn't start again... can the pump on the frame "go" bad? Or is it just working or not?
Thanks

Some guys have also reported their fuel safety cutoff switches going bad. I have heard they are located on the firewall behind the clutch pedal, and on the passenger footwell or firewall near the glove box. These things disconnect the fuel pumps incase of an accident, and have a reset button on them. You could possibly try to bypass this thing temporarily to see if it's the problem.
Here is the switch

Here's what it looks like inside
