Not to hijack but to complement the thread: I just had greasable u-joints put in (believe they are Moogs). The zerc comes out of the bottom of the joint. Problem: on the bottom ball joint, they did not put the zerc in. Looks like there may not be enough room from the bottom of the joint what with the u-joint of the front axle rotating.
Do they make a small-enough u-joint to screw into the bottom that will allow the u-joints to rotate??
DJ - you'll see a hole where the zercs go in the bottom of the joint if they can go in there. The originals were not greasable. If you have aftermarket joints, you may already have the insertion point.
