How similar are the F100 and F250 frames?
I know the F350 is different, wince it has a longer wheelbase.
I read a Highboy article that said the F100 and F250 frames were the same, basically only differed in axles and amount of leaf springs.
They also differ from '64 and older, and 65-66...
My goal is to have a heavy duty 4x4 flatbed truck.
Here in Mass, they tend to be very rusted and falling apart.
This makes me laugh, because I remember how my Dad and I cobbled together the floorboards on my '65 with warehouse shelving sheet metal and upright angle iron.
There are more F100's than F250's in my searches, so knowing the frames are similar doubles my search criteria basically.
The frame thickness and strength...any big difference between the two or still basically the same?
I'm sure the frame is weaker than an F350 frame, but it should be able to handle a good load of topsoil or other bulk materials...
