Book says Do Not remove mixture screws??
In my Haynes manual it says Caution: Do no remove mixture screws or idle limiter caps. Why would it say this? What will happen if I do remove them? The carb is a motorcraft 4350. Thanks

Nothing bad will happen.
Those carbs were set at the factory for the lowest emissions at idle then the caps were installed to keep folks from tampering with them. Enriching the idle would make the idle nice and smooth, but would raise the emissions at idle. That was a no no according to the EPA, at least during the warranty period and in areas that required emissions testing.
