rear locker question

I have an '05 crew cab FX4. I haven't done any extreme off-roading, but when I have there have been no problems with loss of traction. I have no option that I am aware of for turning the rear locker on or off. So my question is, does my '05 FX4 have a rear locking differential, a limited slip differential, or am I just up poop creek and have no idea what the heck I am driving? And is whatever I do have worth anything?

You should have a clutch type limited slip....they are alright but are known to have clutch failure issues, leaving you essentially with an open diff.

There are many aftermarket options such as ARB Air Lockers, Detroit Trutrac (gear driven limited slip) as well as many others, should you determine that the factory limited slip does not meet your requirements.

Hope that this has been of help.

Anyone know if you can just run the bad clutch packs til they are toast and it will stop making the crazy 'axle hop' type sensation?
