Option Swapping between years
I am wondering if there is some sort of comprehensive list out there (anywhere) that will help figure out what options I can swap from one year to another.
I am most likely going to end up with 2001-2003 SD and I want to know what options/upgrades I can swap into it.
I know towing mirrors can be done but what about seats, radios/navs, steering wheel controls, parking sensors, movable pedal clusters, etc.
I have searched the threads and picked up bits and pieces but still feel like I have lots of holes in my knowledge.

If you can find the parts I can be done. The steering wheel controls would be challenging, the 05+ uses a lot of different stuff (wiring, hvac ducts) that would make it difficult to swap out the cluster mainly. As far as seats they interchage 99-10, radios depend on the plug 99-04. 05+ have a different mount. The pedals I'm not sure about. Upfitters are workable as is the tow command. Everything is possible just depends on time and money

And if you're looking at an 01 - 03, you should be able to get into a Lariat or even King Ranch for not much more than you would an XLT. Some things might not be able to be "easily" swapped into an XL, so I would try and avoid that one.

Thanks. We might be able to get into a Lariat but I doubt a King Ranch. I had been planning on downpayment/financing on this truck but due to economy and job loss we are just going to have to buy it with the downpayment money only. I have about $10K and with the research I have been doing trucks in our area in the Lariat diesel edition are running in the $12-15K range.
I have a lead on 2001 F250 XLT CC diesel from a private owner so hopefully they still have it when we are ready to do it.
I thought that the TBC was integrated with the tranny and the master brake cylinder and unless you had the 5R you had to swap the tranny, master cylinder and computer too?
