Power steering pump
#5
I did a PSC pump conversion kit about 6 yrs ago. After I got the bugs worked out I haven't had any issues with it at all. I'm not sure if PSC (out of Texas), still offers these kits or not. You would need to call them and ask if they still do, or have them build you one. They will also rebuild your stock pump if you send it in to them as well as your steering gear, PSC will do some valving and porting on your stock pump and steering gear for more flow and increased pressure as well. But the Kit I bought made a big difference in my steering. It turns with much less effort at lower speeds, and the steering is much more sensitive when driving. It actually made the truck handle much better. The kit is actually part of a rock ram kit, minus the hoses and the Hyd ram. Should a person decide to go that route, it's just 2 hoses, a Ram and some brackets for the upgrade. I use to have pictures of the kit, but it has been a while. It's based off of the old Saginaw GM system, with adapter bracketry and bolts and a Separate Aluminum Resvoir. I want to say I paid around $350 for the kit back then.http://app.getsmileapp.com/images/ce...cc/jpg/168x168
