97 Exp. Amplifier Location
I am trying to replace the factory stereo with an aftermarket, however I need to by pass the factory amp. Does anyone know where it is located? I have heard that it is somewhere on the passenger side in the rear, but have not been able to locate it.

I found the amplifier in my 1995 explorer XLT in the cargo on the right hand side facing the rear of the vehicle. It was bolted to the frame just above the passenger side rear tire wheel well.
