06 Armrest Problem

I have an '06 Expy with captains chairs in the back. The armrest on the drivers side keeps coming off (kids).

Last time it fell off, I could see that there is a threaded hole in the seat frame, along with a rod that fits in a slot on the armrest to stop it from spinning. There is a threaded stud that comes out of the armrest that spins freely. Seems simple, but I can't figure out how to turn the stud on the armrest enough to get it tight, because the tighter it gets it draws itself closer to the back of the seat. If I can't get it tight it just evenually works its way back off.

I rolled back the cover on the armrest to see if I could get at the top of the bolt to turn it that way, but I can't get at it.

I searched some other posts, but they seem like they had a different condition that mine. They had to put it on somehow. What am I missing? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Try putting Loctite on the threads, then screw it in and let it set.

Yeah I will loc-tite it once I get it tight. I didn't in the past because it didn't seem like I ever got it all the way to where it needed to be. I ended up using needle nose vise-grips to tighten it as much as I could.
