Okay I have a 02 f250 powerstroke I have never had this problem before, I was driving it for about 40 to 50 miles and it just stop's no sign no sputtering nothing just stopped, so I changed the cam sensor and I thought it did the job well no it is still stopping, I have checked every fuse and none are bad, and checked relay's I moved them around and no. I had a small oil leak on the ho pump before all this started I fixed the leak. Well now I am stuck I am about to go crazy, to top it off my wives truck transmission is gone
Welcome to FTE.
Sounds like you know your way around the engine with what you've said.
What comes to my mind first is to check the plug on the IPR valve that is mounted on the bottom of the high pressure pump.
Make sure the tin nut is secure.
It does sound like a CPS problem. You should have been under a 'recall' from Ford. What 'color' did you have in it and what 'color' is the new one. Some people have different reactions with their trucks on these. Did you put any vasoline or sealent on the rubber seal to keep out water, as any moisture will effect it. (mine shut down every time it rained)
Are you able to check for any 'codes' that might have tripped
Welcome to the 7.3 forum. Some more guys and gals will come along with questions and suggestions.

Thanks for the welcome I did have the recal and I did take it about 10 months ago and the color is Grey I have heard of the black one I haven't tried that one I used sealent but it hasnt rained yet. As soon as I changed the CPS it was fine for about 60 miles and it shut down again. I got the cam code before I changed it and haven't got one since.
Thanks for the welcome. I bought it at auto zone, I changed it after I had repaired the leak and yes is cranked it ran
We have had a few members on here that bought one from autozone and they went bad real quick. I would buy one from ford and see if it might work better.
If engine restarts after stall, oil return to oil pan may be too slow. CHANGE oil, if necessary
Starting Concerns: Hard Start/Long Crank/Erratic Start/Erratic Crank, Stall After Start, No Start/Normal Crank n
Stalls/Quits: Idle
Note:
Perform the following preliminary checks:
n
Check engine oil level.
n
Confirm correct dipstick part number.
n
Check for sufficient clean fuel. n Check for an intake restriction.
Check Fuel Pump Pressure
Perform KOEO On-Demand Self Test Perform KOEO Injector Electrical Self Test
I have gone though all the steps about 3 times all oils are at its operating level clean motor oil, clean tranny oil, power steering oil to its level no leaks, half a tank of clean fuel. I am thinking it might be a wire?
