Stacy, the only 56 good roofs I have left are on cabs too good to cut. Do you need the whole roof or just a small portion for patching. If thats the case I may be able to help. But not a whole good roof.

James, thanks for the reply here, and on the other thread (missed the point that they were talking about a '55 roof). I need need the two inches above the drip rail on both sides and the front. Previous owner repaired it badly, and I could go to the trouble of trying to reproduce the curves from sheetmetal, but not sure I can get the corners right. Preferably, I'd get a whole roof, or a whole cab with bad bottom corners and separate it all (not a trivial task, I know).

Thanks,

Stacey

Stacy, If you just need two inches sections on both sides of the drip rail and two inch section on the front above the windshield, I think I have that much that is good. If you send me your e mail address I'll send you pics of the good parts I have to cut.

Thanks James. I did a more careful measurement. I need about two inches on top of the drip tail on the sides and front, with probably closer to 3 inches on the two front cab corners (above the drip rail). email is staceyhchang at gmail dotcom.

thanks!

Stacey

HI there
I am looking for the chrome drip edge for a 53 1/2 ton deluxe model as well as the shifting linkages for a 3 speed column shift to the transmission (and associated parts) If you have them or know of somewhere that I can connect with them that would be appreciated.

thanks for your time

Chris, I have two sets of the stainless steel drip rail trim but used the best pieces on my 53. They are hard to remove and hard to install without bending them. My shift linkage was rusty and worn so I had to find and buy the best good used set just like you. Give me your e mail address and can send you a couple of phone numbers of guys that may have them. If you can find even a a good partial set of the trim, get back with me and I might be able to send you good pieces to complete the set.

Jim,

I am looking for a 3 speed column shifter, tube, lever, handle, the whole assy. And wondering if you have a radio for a 56, I only need the head unit.

Thanks,
Jesse

Jesse, I can can send you the 3 speed column assembly and radio head for $220.00 shipped. The two radio heads I have maybe 53-55 ones. I've heard there are very minor differences in them other than the 12 volt change in 56. I'll compare the head units I have with the picture of the radio head in the 56 shop manual and let you know the difference. That price is if you live in the lower 48 states. If you are in Canada I may have to charge a little more for the shipping.

Jim,

I believe the 56 radios had little red triangle marks on the dial in two places, where as the 53-55 dials are all black with white numbers and dashes. Let me know what you have, pictures would be great too.

Also, I plan to fit the 3 speed column shifter to a C6, but I am also wondering if using the fordomatic column would be an easier modification, plus it has the shift window. Do you have one of those?

Jesse

hello

James, I will be around Conway this sunday. How close is that to you? I am looking for a 1/2 ton four speed (slip yoke, no E-brake) and 6 cylinder bellhousing.
