conversion van gasmilage
I have a 90 mark3 302 or 351 v8(havent had time to check on it yet) and was wondering if there was any thing to do for imporving mpg. i dont need much preformance wise out of it but need a longer range instead. every thing is stock

There are several ways you can get better millage. I have a 1992 e150 with a stock 302 and with new filters and fluids i average about 15mpg. I have been able to get that up to a max of 27mpg but it has cost me around $500 to do so. What i did was purchase a used oxygen consentrator and hooked it up to an inverter in the back of the van. I then ran lines up to the air intake after the air filter. I have it set up so i can change the amount of o2 that is pumped at any given time. for city driving i run it at 2.5 Liters per min and for highway speeds i run it at 8 lpm. I drive about 3000 miles a month and with the savings in gas this setup has paid for itself within a few months
