My alternator shorted out my system a bit ago. Now my speedometer does not work, my interior lights do not work, and my power locks will only lock. The truck has to be running for the doors to lock. The interior light 10 amp fuse blows once the lights turn on. The lights on the dash light up when you try to use the power door locks. When the lights are on the dash lights dim with use of the locks.
After reading a bit I believe it might be a relay under the hood. I believe there is one that controls all of these things. I also plan to test my ground and continuity at the fuse box.
Are there any other ideas out there?
