Well long story short someone that will screw with my stuff found the master code out to my keyless entry pad. I really DO NOT want this person to know it. It being the master code i dont know how or if you can even change the code. Is there a way to change the master code to a different number?
thanks

Deactivating/activating the autolock feature
Before following the procedure, make sure that the ignition is OFF and all vehicle doors are closed.
You must complete steps 1-7 within 30 seconds or the procedure will have to be repeated. If the procedure needs to be repeated, you must wait 30 seconds.
1. Turn the ignition key to ON.
2. Press the power door unlock control three times.
3. Turn the ignition key from ON to OFF.
4. Press the power door unlock control three times.
5. Turn the ignition back to ON. The horn will chirp.
6. Press the unlock control, then press the lock control. The horn will chirp once if autolock was deactivated or twice (one short and one long chirp) if autolock was activated.
7. Turn the ignition to OFF. The horn will chirp once to confirm the procedure is complete.
A fob is what they call the little hand held alarm or unlock remote that goes on your key ring. No idea how they came up with the term fob.
I'd call a dealer and find out about the push button code. Worst case I'd say pull the pad off and replace it with a battery operated pad that has a different code. Ed sells them for around $70 so that may be cheaper than a dealer re-flash if that is what it took.
Thats what i was thinking it was. I was just thinking about finding where the fuse for this thing is located or dissconnect it for a while till the person forgets the code then hook it back up.
Key fob is also a word used to describe a key chain and several other similar items and devices. The word fob is believed to have originated from watch fobs, which existed as early as 1888. The fob refers to an ornament attached to a pocket-watch chain. Key chains, car starters, garage door openers, and keyless entry devices on hotel room doors are also called fobs.
You can change the code to something else, we did it on my wife's 00 Exploder. I can't recall the exact procedure but you punch in the OEM code, then push the 1 button I think and enter your custom code. The locks cycle to verify it worked. There should be de-structions in your manual or online someplace, or if you want I can look it up in the Exploder manual tonight.
Yeah i know how to set the custom code. Theres a factory code and you can set a custom one and i was trying to find out if you could change the factory code. Thats the one they found out.
If you set a custom code I don't believe the factory code will open the locks anymore until the custom code is cleared. Ford might be able to re-flash it with a new code for you, partsguyed would be the guy to ask.
I figured ford could reflash it. I know someone who works there and can get stuff for me and help me so im thinking about asking them or just pulling the fuse to the thing for a while till i know they forgot the code then put the fuse back.
