Two new codes popped up

P1316 Injector driver module and P1249 Wastegate control valve performance. I hope these are not too serious and expensive to remedy. I haven't been working too much lately. The truck has sat for a week and when I used it today the check engine light came on. I had a service call which was about 50 miles round trip and it ran good. No drivability issues.

Can anybody point me in the right direction?

Clear the codes and see if they come back. P1316 is the one to pay close attention to. The most common cause is a loose UVCH connector.

Now that I am thinking about it my truck has been cutting out for an instant every so often. Could this be a result of a loose UVCH?

It won't usually cause it to cut out, but it can easily cause it to drop a couple of injectors which is something you would notice.
