A/C problem

just recently my air conditioning started defaulting to defrost. I found the problem and it was one of the vacuum lines coming from the hub had been disconnected. So that fixed it, but now it is defaulting to defrost and will come out of the vents if i us the ESOF and turn it to 4wd high. I can then turn 4wd off and it will stay on the vents until i turn the ac off then i have to go through the whole spill just to get it to come out of the vents. Any ideas??
