Purchasing 2001 Excursion
I'm going to take a look at this Ex tomorrow morning. Looks pretty good in the pictures.
2001 FORD EXCURSION LIMITED 4X4 TURBO DIESEL
I have never owned a diesel. Any suggestions as to what i should keep an eye out for with this year of a truck? If i really like it i will probably try to take it to a local dealer for an inspection before i buy.

It's a nice looking truck, but you need to know the build date, here's why:

You'll love the 7.3; like everyone else says, get ALL the maintenance done AS SOON as you get it, don't trust anyone who says they had it done, not worth taking the chance on your engine/tranny. Take a good hard look at the tranny fluid and pan when you change it, be prepared to replace the transmission if it wasn't taken care of(pay the money for a good one and you'll never regret it.)
