Hey guys I helped a friend last night put a bullydog remote start into his 04 F-150. I got it put in, just have one small issue. It only works when the key is in the ignition. I think I need to bypass the security, but the instructions were vague and just told me to look for a wire that detects if the doors are locked or not. It doesnt have power windows or locks, and I'm not sure where to find the right wire. Anyone know where to look or what to do?

 

You will need the PATS piece for this truck.. Unless you plan to leave a key in the ignition. The door locks have nothing to do with the starting of the truck!

I found a PATS on the bulldog security site but it says it works for 1996-2000 vehicles. Will that work or do I just get a universal bypass module?

 

putting one in mine now .... sounds like you need the 791 box
