are sending units so expencive

because they are a pain in the *** to get to 90% of the time so they rape ur hands and ur wallet

great answer lol but they also cost just as much as a fuel pump with the sending unit

I think it comes down to what one's definition of expensive is? Here, I'll run this analogy past you (like I've done many times before to other people);

If I called you up on the phone out of the blue and offered to give you $33.86 to build me an oil pressure sending unit for a '97 Ford with a 460 c.i......would you do it?......

seeing as ive never took apart an oil pressure sending unit no if you said fuel level sending unit just maybe

not yet lol i know i can go 280 miles with normal driving on my front tank i just wish the gauge would reflect that the jeep i had was another story 304 v8 and a 10 gallon tank with a shot sending unit and gauge i carried several gas cans with me
