Electrical problem, I need help!

I need help. Elec is my weak suit...and this is my first diesel

2000 E350 extended cargo van(7.3).

Water/fuel drain valve leaked.

Disconnected both batt ground and proceded to R&R valve. First tried to get to it from the front and disconnected a lot of the connector/harnesses. That didn't work so I removed the turbo and went in from the back and got the valve replaced. Everything went smoothly from there. Went to re-attach the grounds and got some low amp sparks. Made sure all lights and doors were closed and still got sparks.

I'm pretty sure I got the solenoids on top connected right cuz I put wire ties on one set. Found one connector in front that wasn't connected. It had a gray and a gray with red stripe wires coming out of it with an 8" lead on the passenger half coming from the bundle of wire looms just under the cowling.

I don't think that's important at the moment. I'm mostly scared to connect ground and try to trace down the draw in case it burns out some sensitive electronic stuff.

Anybody know what's goin' on?

Thanks in advance,
Charlie

Dontcha miss the old days when all ya needed was a pair of pliers and screwdriver and maybe a hammer.
