trans. service

I have 120,000 miles on a '04/150. I've flushed the trans. fluid and changed the filter at 60K and am being asked to do so again now. Is this unnecessary? Thanks

Would consult your owner's maintenance schedule, but I do it about every 30k miles. However, I believe in lots of PM. Has paid off in the past.

I recently read that the trans. is engineered so it needs no maintenence. Of course this contradicts the manual and I wondered your thoughts?

I have 103,000 on my 04 and also need to change the fluid and the filter. I've been told it should be find to do still, jsut don't change all the fluid, just what it takes to change the pan gasket whic should be about 5 or 6 quarts.
