Vibration stations...
I have a problem i need some help with.
Bought my 94 (and a half cuz i have a Direct injection PSD) just a few weeks ago. Its a great truck, love it.
There was some clunking happening up front, so i took it in to a shop, and they showed me all 4 ball joints were toast. $9xx repair for all 4 Moog premiums.
The day i picked up the truck and headed home, it started to shake like crazy on the highway, right around 85-90kmh (45-50mph??)
I took it back to them and said fix it (cuz it didnt do it before) and they balanced all 4 tires. then told me it was a drive train thing because it only happened while in gear.
Its only at that small range of speeds, any faster or slower and its smooth as could be. The truck is going back in today for them to have another try at it.
Any ideas or thoughts? should i give up on them fixing it and live with it?
thanks

i had 35's on a 05 ram and it had a little up and down wobble from about 42-45 mph
and my brothers truck does the same thing and he has 33's on his
but if its like a washing machine gone mad wobble then thats the ball joints in the steering linkage that they greased
greasing those in a high mileage truck is a no no unless it has had it dont its whole life because they will wear into place then adding the grease will free them up making them really really lose and sloppy
A day or 2 after i noticed a big schunk of grease flung up on the Pass. door. Looked like brown old grease, so i wonder if he did grease something came apart.
I just called and told him exactly that too.
Thanks
