Proper Carburation Question
New to Fords as well as the site
I live in Missouri so no emissions issues that I am aware of nor altitude issues.
I recently purchased the vehicle, decided to replace the engine with a newly rebuilt engine from O'Reilly auto as well as all the underhood components. I am going stock with everything.
I had a Edelbrock Streetmaster 400 aluminum intake manifold given to me. I don't have a 4bbl carb, but I had my Motorcraft 2150 rebuilt just prior to being coerced into engine swap (by motor issues).
I need your suggestions as to how I should proceed with feeding my engine, should I look for a cheap carb to rebuild (running short on cash) or buy a restrictor plate to use my 2bbl (I like the shiny look of aluminum) or just paint the factory intake and be happy with it.
Also should I scrap the EGR and take the no emissions route. Thanks in advance, I have a great sense of humor, just trying to be to the point and stick to newbie guidlines.
