Just found this site, i'm a member of another ford site just seems to be a bit slow over there. Anyways my name is John i'm serving in the USAF i'm a B-52H crew chief been in 4 years. picked up this truck about a year ago always loved this body style, used to have an 89 F-250. This is a 94 F-150 got it for $2500 with a 170k on it, needed to rebuild the tranny the syncro's were toast...that was fun. And that's all the the thing i've actually needed to do to it. Only things i've actually done to it was putting a magnaflow muffler on it 31's a different bumper. Onto the pics
When i first got it
got drunk cut the muffler off LOL
My Jetta
newish tire's got wheel and tires for $100
some fun in the truck
my buddies red truck, he lost his bumper this day
Welcome! Great truck- looks like you've had some fun with it already. There's a lot of real experts on this forum that are ridiculously handy with diagrams and photographs- true ninjas in the world of Fords.
You can always tell you're in military housing when you see a row of driveways with lifted trucks and slammed imports. I'm an A-Company type Seabee so I think you've got it right with that F-250! What base are you on, shipmate?
oh oops its just the 302 with a manual tranny. well torque king i'm at Minot AFB right now, but getting ready to go back to Guam in a couple weeks for a 6 month TDY
I have the other armrest now
wish it didn't have this, but it survived the winter and there are no signs of water leaks any where.
So a question, how do i fix this problem from happening? When i was goin in and out of that pond i sucked up water and bogged myself down pretty good, also got the cap wet and had to let it dry out. I know how to fix that...RTV, but what can i do about the intake sucking up water? Besides adding a snorkel
Me
Awesome- I just got stationed at Pearl. I was going to say, if you flew cargo jets I might have worked with you before in some far away time zone. You're going to love the island-are they going to let you take your truck over there? I just went through the pain of stripping for shipping. It hurts to throw out all my good chemicals just for the trip.
Personally, I'd leave your paper filter alone and just replace on intervals. I think K&N's work great with carburetors, but for an EFI motor that sucks mud on occasion I'd rather just throw out a $5 paper filter and be happy!
