Difference in trannys
I have a 93' 5.8 with a long AOD and a 95' 5.0 with a shorter AOD. What are the model #s and differences. I assume the longer 5.8 trans handles more power. Your help is appreciated. I will be listing the 5.8 and trans for sale and want to have my facts straight.16 and learning. Chaz

Because the 5.8 is backed by the E4OD trans, not the AOD.........In fact, the AOD stopped being offered about 88' IRC.......both are most likely E4ODs with the 302 model being lighter duty.(or possibly its is a 4R70W trans.)
