Saw this on my local craig's list page and have not seen this model Ford before. Anyone know what it is. For a $1000 I might just buy it for the way it looks, kinda cool in a different way.

Needs a tune-up tells me it has a gas motor. Air brakes doesn't indicate a size or GVW You could order air brakes and different motor/tranny combo's for those trucks. Best info is to write the guy and ask questions.
You have located a "very strong dump truck" !!! From what little I know, right now, people who have owned and worked them say "They were the mule of Ford's mid-range trucks and you couldn't break them" !!! I just purchased a solid "1966 Ford N-300 Dump Truck" with a strong engine VIN# N60CU412339 (With A Hard To Read) Door Tag:
163V-N602-81A-F-64-19500-13?(3or5)-?80?-40 and have need to decipher the both sets of codes. I also need to find an affordable used specification / repair manual to bring it a fully work operational level. I sat in dry storage for over 15 years, so It does need some TLC. I also need to find out who mounted hydraulics for the dump bed and find the maintenance repair information. Any information or a source for same regarding this truck would be deeply appreciated. Used owners, shop manuals: faxonautolit.com.
Note: Be careful when buying a shop manual. Ford came out with the full shop manual in 1961, then added supplements that covered the years 1962 & 1963.
I think it would be cool to take off the dumper and fabricate a custom dually style bed with all the lines to follow the cab. That would be pretty trick!

Speaking of the lines of the truck. I hauled this 63 Falcon for a friend several months ago and when I got to looking at the picture I got to noticing the lines of the truck and the Falcon are very similar. You can sure tell that they are kin to each other.
