Medic where did you get the nav unit and what year vehicle did it come from?

In most cases, what what I have read, a Ford dealer may have to program it to work with the options in your truck.

Do you have the nav disks for the unit?

bought the nav unit on ebay...everything works (steering wheel controls, nav unit and yes i do have the disc), just when i do the 3-6 button check, it shows subwoofer disabled. tow large dealers here cannot figure out how to repprogram it to turn on the sub. it came from a late 2006-early 07 f150. any ideas?

That's going to be the case with most techs. They will be able to look up as built data from motorcraft's website, but not how to turn features on using HEX. Your best bet is to find a truck with your options, plus the radio you want. Then have Ford use that VIN to look up the as built data for the radio or cluster or whatever else would need the programming to up load into your truck.

Medic,

If you want to ship it out, I can program it for you. I can do both the Pioneer unit that you have as well as the 09+ hard drive based systems. If you are interested, PM me.
