problems with rocker arms

I converted from ductile iron ajustable rocker arms to a set of comp cams roller rockers. about a month ago. yesterday the motor started making a lot of racket. took the valve cover off and I had broke a push rod. Upon inspection their were 3 others broke and 4 cracked. The part of the push rod braking is the cup end. The cup is breaking out. It looks like the push rod is rubbing agens the rocker itself. Do I need a special push rod to run these rockers, or are these rockers no good. Has any body had this same problem. I just rebuilt the motor about 6 months ago. It sucks to take the motor out again to chase metal around.

I would ask comp cams and see if they recommend or require the use of diffrent push rods. Also you may have done the overhead wrong. Is this hydraulic or solid lifters?

When you order new pushrods could you order shorter pushrods? Then the ball on the rocker arm can be further down away from the point of contact at full lift. it kinda sounds like the block and heads have been milled but full size pushrods are still being used. If that's right they are now too long and the adjusting screw is backed out too far allowing the cup to hit the rocker arm at full lift when it's rotated the pushrod closer to the body of the rocker arm
