FTE Ohio Chapter Members - Google Maps
***FYI :This map cannot be viewed publicly unless you have the link..***
Now this can be done two ways.
You can create your own Google account and then log in and then add yourself to the map, click this link for your own Account https://www.google.com/accounts/NewA...&service=local just need a email addy and a password is all , no personal info
or you can post up that you want to have me add you to the map.
I, myself just put in a general location of where i live , its close but i do spent a lot time in the park , they have really nice benches to sleep on, and more room then the dog house out back.. Seriously you can be vague about where you live and still be on the map, this is just to give general location of where we all live, and maybe help with meeting up with others , and heck if someone is passing through , maybe get a hold of each other a for a cold one..
if you do create a account you can email others and they can add themselves..
let me know what you all think and we can go from here and change it accordingly..
Members have to have a google sign in to edit the map.
Find the general location and right click to add a place mark. When the new box opens, add your first name and username. Comments if you like then save.
Or if you don't know where your town/city is on the map, type it in the the Google Maps search area. When the location is found, edit the popup box with your info and SAVE!
HELLO. I AM NEW TO THE FORUM. I ordered a 2019 F350 Lariat SD 6.7 Diesel in September and I am just waiting to take delivery. I tried the link in your post but did not work. I live in Westerville, OH 43081. How many members belong to the OHIO Chapter? I could not place my location on the link because it no longer exists.
Hey guys/gals! Cody here from just slightly south of Columbus, OH. Have a 2009 F150 Platinum 4x4 Max Tow, 5.4 3V, black in color. Picked up about a year ago with 93k on the clock. To date I’ve done (myself, fan of turning wrenches)
Spark Plugs
Full timing set using Ford parts w/ Melling Oil pump
Auto trans fluid and filter replaced (6R80 6 speed)
Transfer Case fluid replaced - Ford now specs Mercon LV for transfer cases which surprised me, but I’ll take it. One less specialty fluid I have to buy lol
Rear differential Fluid w/ Friction Modifier (Ford) replaced - truck has 3.73 LS rear end - did this twice actually. Learned my lesson on the Non Ford friction modifiers (Fairly certain my issue was with the modifier and not the off the shelf 75w-140 I was using. At 20-30 dollars a quart I wasn’t willing to try and find out with a 3rd Fluid drop. ) Takes weeks to lose that smell... lol
Repaired water leakage from satellite radio antenna & 3rd brake light gasket. - easier than one would think, and I did NOT purchase a new 3rd brake light assembly, simply re-engineered my own gasket. Holding up well.
Engine Coolant swap/flush - used Prestone, May eventually go back to Ford Gold, but not sure at this point. Either way I’d like to flush this again and possibly remove the overflow and do a good cleaning there.
Also ordered some missing interior pieces (cup holder rubber, cigar lighter unit, etc.
Running Mobil 1 5w-30 on 4K intervals. Ford FL820S filters exclusively. Ford filters are about all I’m willing to buy these days for the ol’ girl. 107,XXX on the clock. Hoping to see 300k+
I’ve got a whole list of to do’s on this truck, it’s just waiting for adulting to allow me some leftover loot to do them.
I’m excited to be a part of the community and am always happy to help anyone that I can. Feel free to give this self proclaimed “high tech redneck” a shout anytime. Thanks again and look forward to being a part of this community for years to come
This place rocks for sure. Sounds like you've got a good start on the truck there. My stuff is all older, but still good to see another OH guy joining up.
Welcome from one" Redneck Geek" to another "high tech redneck".
Sorry for the delay DIY, but thank you very much for the warm welcome. Nothing wrong with the older stuff at all. I grew up with antique John Deere 2 cylinder tractors so I'm definitely a fan of old iron whether it's a truck, tractor, or just about anything else as well. I'm pumped to upgrade my membership when I can and start sharing the journey of this truck with all of you guys. I've got a DSLR and a GoPro that are itching to be used on this thing.
