1. Has anyone swapped out their A code rear leafs for B code rear leafs, or the other way around? I am looking for a comparison in ride quality between the two. I assume because the A codes have a lower weight rating they are softer and therefore provide a smoother ride with less weight capacity but please correct me if I'm wrong.
2. Also, has anyone WITH A DIESEL TRUCK tried either T code or U code front leafs? Or are V codes the lightest duty front leafs for a truck with a diesel motor? I'm trying to find a ride quality comparison... Once again, looking for the softest ride quality with an unloaded truck.
I should clarify, I'm not looking for the weight ratings of these springs... I already have that chart. I'm hoping for a real world comparison from someone who has actually driven with these leaf springs in their truck.
If it matters, my truck is a 4x4 F250 extra cab long bed with the 7.3.
This is very popular in the excursion forum, because they have inherintly weak springs. If you do a search in there you should find a chart for spring rate comparisons to get a better idea. I don't have it handy or I would link it for ya.
