Where to weld on O2 bung for duals? (Is this too close)

The wire on the harness is really short. This is as far as the wire will go without tension. Is this too close to the flange/manifold, or can I just weld it in here? Any ideas? (I want to place the bung roughly where it sits in this picture.)

Yes that is fine.. there's no such things as too close. You should be able to get more wire length to play with if you remove the tape and loom from the section between the sensor connector and where it attaches to the main engine bay harness up behind the battery.

Another option is to get a new sensor with a longer cable. The parts store will have several different lengths.
