Timing gear question
Ok Boys,
Here it is, I have a 1989 E-350 460 powered 4x4 van and I am looking to get a bit more out of it. Now I remember that back in the day Ford retarded the 460 to meet Nox standards, this being said was it still true in the EFI engines? Do I need to swap my gears to get this poor pig to perform?I have fabbed a dual cold air intake for it abd have swapped out the single exhaust already so that give y'all a headers up to what is done. Anyone please help this ole hillbilly out.

EFI 460s have a straight up timing gear which I believe may even be a roller chain. I'm not familiar with EFI so can't tell you how to make big power with it. My understanding is you're quite limited with these 460 EFI systems, though I have heard of folks making decent flow numbers with the EFI heads.
