If Ford made the Excursion again

Ok guys if Ford made the Excursion again would you buy one? I have been looking for a used one an its darn near impossible to find one at a dealer or anyplace else. I just might buy a new one if they still made them. How about you. Would you buy an Excursion if you could get one. New or used. Something tells me there still a market out there despite rising fuel prices. I have always been impressed with them. The build quality on these is second to none an for just an all around people mover there hard to beat. Thoughts guys. Thanks

Keep looking. There's some good ones that come up for sale from time to time from members on the forum, eBay and other places.

(why I got the 02, then 03, then had to have the latest 05 to last the longest !)

Yup...wouldn't it be nice to have an X with the Ford Tow Master package?
I suspect that if they made them again they would fix the annoying wheel bearing issues as well...

I am hoping Ford starts making the X again, I am not looking forward to the day I have to replace mine. I have no idea what could possibly replace the X for what I need. Oh well, hopefully mine will last quite a while longer! Just the thought of the X with all the new Super Duty upgrades really makes ya want it even more.

I hate to say it but we'll probably need to put X bodies on SD frames...cuz I bet Ford doesn't make anything like the X again...too many treehuggers in our government...

I would definitely buy one. but only with the new 6.7 or a 2000-2003 7.3 powerstroke. no giant gassers for me. diesel power all the way. atleast in huge rigs like that and superduties

My first bearing went out at 180k. Can't really complain about that.

And as said in many previous threads, I'd buy another.

If my family was younger or growing I would consider getting another one if they would make a 2011 version. Can you imagine if the MPG on a 6.7 PSD is as good as they are saying, plus cleaner emissions, those earth muffins wouldn't have anything to say! Once we trade the truck for a car for my wife the Excursion will be my daily driver.

As far as finding one, keep looking and keep the faith. I found mine (used) on Autotrader. When I was looking I concentrated on the Denver Salt Lake markets but back then they were getting 3-4K over book. I decided just to expand my search, found one in Chicago about 2-3K UNDER book. Didn't think I would ever travel that far to get one but it all worked out. Hang in there.

I found mine for 2k under book and I also had to drive 190 miles to get it...I figure that after the bearing and bushings are replaced all will be well...I also got 4k more for my trade than book or Carmax were willing to give me.
