Lightbulb Help - computer problem!!!!

I am using my laptop because my pc has a virus. It is trying to make me buy software. It has something to do with googletoolbaruser_32 and others. It is kicking up porno sitesand has blocked most of the computer. I am in a jam because I need info off it for work. I have webroot but it is not stopping it. Is there a fix? Thanks for any help.

I always try to ask the question in the search engine and see if there have been other problems and solutions that have been done. Try and type it into your laptop and follow instructions to your pc

Thanks Snowbunny. I think that the virus has just messed up the toolbar and a lot of other things so I am forced to buy the software to remove it. A friend of mine had the same virus and i bought him a copy of webroot and it took it off. But it won't with mine.

I suggest burning a CD of Bit Defender, boot your computer from it, let it connect to the
Internet and download the most recent virus definitions, and let it scan the disk (and,
hopefully, detect and repair the problem).

I had a similar problem with I think it was AVTIVIRUS 2008 or something like that. it just kept coming up in the middle of everything and you would click it off and it would take you to buy software.

If you can.. Download and install Malwarebytes Antimalware..

You can find it on Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com..

The problem is usually it will disable your ability to run removal programs..

Sometimes you can get lucky and run windows System Restore to go back before the infection..

If it let's you try booting into Safe mode with networking to install and run Malwarebytes
