Question Fuel Pump Question

Good Evening All,

Just replaced the sending unit on the front tank. Hook everything up back the way it was. Only Wire To Undue To Replace Sending Unit Was A Single Yellow One. The Other Ones For The Power To The Pump Are Soldered On & I Left Those Untouched. Went To The Gas Station On The Rear Pump. Filled Up The Front Tank & The Sending Unit Is Working Great. Try To Run On The Front Tank, Nothing. Not Even The Fuel Pump Priming Itself When I Turn The Key? Checked The Maxi Fuses Under The Hood & Its Good. Could Pump Have Gone Bad Just Like That. Is It Typical That When The Pump Goes Out That You Dont Even Get The Initial Priming Sound When You Turn The Key?
Any Advice Please!!!
Jeremy

Hi clark5. I assume you are talking about the fuel selector switch? The rear tank still works fine?

I had a similiar problem on my 90'. Its a quick check, just pull the plug off and look for/smell for burnt wires. Over the years I replaced both the plug and switch. Good luck. this would be alot more fun than dropping a full tank of fuel.
