I had to run today just a downpipe and 2 foot straight through pipe until I get my new exhaust.
I didn't run it hard or anything but when I got into my driveway, at idle, I hear a squealing sound from under the hood.
When I opened my hood, there was some smoke. I don't know if the smoke was burnoff from the new pipe (I hadn't see any earlier today).
I can rev the motor slightly and the turbo seems to spool okay and the squealing goes away. Pushing the clutch seems to have some affect on making the squeaking going away or coming back in.
Update. It seems like it transmission related. Lime thw throwout bearing has gone bad. Most of the squealing comes from pushing the clutch. Not like it's a squeak from the pedal but from something inside the transmission.
I peeked my head under my truck this morning and this was sticking out of the lower bell housing vent. It looks like something that the transmission shouldn't be spiting out.
Yeah. I left this one to the pros. My good friend runs a reputable shop so it's all his for the next few days. Last thing I want to do is pull that transmission in my driveway. A toyota trans, maybe, but not that monster.
