"New" Project

Just thought I would post a few pictures of my new project. 1999 regular cab shortbed 4x4. Has a 4.2 liter (yuck) 5 speed. Screwed rear diff, and this guy put a lift kit on like you guys wouldnt believe!

Gonna take alot of work and time to get it back running and driving, but for 400 bucks it was a steal!

Ill get back to you if I need a grill kirk, I do have a few things lined up.

No kidding eh Sherm, I mean I was young once too, but this is excessive!

Ryan, its pretty much how cheap I got it for is why I bought it. Parted out its worth thousands, and if I sink a few hundred carefully spent dollars and some time, I could either have a solid truck for my ol lady to drive in the winter, or make a few grand off of it!

I gotta admit, when I find the time, Im gonna be up to this challenge.

That's about it Sherm. Amazing that some of these things actually manage to keep on the road! Still, good snag Sheldon. Carefully done, I do believe there's a reasonable truck under there somewhere.

oh ya, parts for that rear end are hard to find and very expensive! i had to order parts from a wrecker in bc for it! they charged out the *** for it too, keep an eye out for a complete rear end that will be your best bet i think

Yes I believe these diffs were from a 201 with a 5.4, and it is limited slip too!.

Just working on a time to go get em, my weeks are pretty filled these days!

I also washed this black truck today, and there are a few more dings and scrapes then I first though, but its still pretty good.

My ol lady is thinking if I fix it, she will use it for a winter beater, and we could use it for a garbage truck in the summer.
