bed identification?
heya all 
Im working on my 77 f150, need to mount tail lights, problem is the PO had put on a post 79 bed and I dont know which generation it is.
could I bother someone to help a fella out here?

Do you have the tailgate? If so post a picture of it.
This is...at least a 1983/86 bed, as the 'gate is supported by cables (I can see the cables upper attaching brackets).
1980/82 tailgates were supported by metal scissor type straps similar to 1964/79's.
Otherwise...1980/86 tailgates look the same, Ford changed the styling in 1987.
