2008 Ford Escape

The condenser started to leak trany fluid and when I tried to get repaired, the shop I was at found that the warehouses had frozen there stock and some of the Ford dealers would not release there stock to other dealers. Does this tell me that everyone knows that there is a problem with these and if so will Ford be paying for the repairs?

There is a recall on this issue. Contact your local Ford dealer and they will tell you how to proceed if your vehicle is covered.

Check with your dealer as there was a Customer Satisfaction Program started in March about this issue. They will repair/replace defective ATF coolers and also reinburse owners that have paid for the repair in the past. There is a cutoff date on this program sometime this year.
