It's leaving Friday
Well,we bit the bullet and bought a 10 y/o Tradewinds 7390 LTC class A MH and put the "EX" and the trailer on the market 2 weeks ago.Listed them both on Craigslist seperately for $16K @ and said that I would sell them together for $30K.$16K @ is about $3K @ over book for them, but I got about 10 bites for each and 5 really solid bites for the pair. The first folks that came offered me $25K and I suggested that the husband take the wife home and we'd talk and start back at $32K 'cuz I was OK with the payments. I think that he yelled at her all the way home 'cuz he was in love with them, especially after lighting the "EX" off once in 80hp economy...The second folks drove 200 miles to see it and I think that they had decided on it before they even got here.Their CU called me this AM and said that the whole amount would be in my account on Thursday and so I'll be able to get the titles and they'll be up either Friday or Saturday to pick it up...I'm really already feeling seperation pains 'cuz the "EX" is leaving...I really have loved driving it 'cuz the feeling of driving the "King of SUV's" is a whole big thing...I may even shed a couple of tears when the two of them head down the driveway..
Now,I've got a whole new thing going and I'm having to learn about my new Caterpillar 3126B 330HP Turbo with the 6 sp Allison.... That's a different engine than I had in my school bus and more power...
Been fun on this forum and I'll probably stick my big nose in here once in awhile...
Just thinking about it breaks my heart and almost brings tears to my eyes...the day a woman tells me that I should get a new or different truck, that's the day she goes out the door. (and yes, you all can hold me to that)
You're a brave man...good luck with your new ride.

Idn whats worse, that or watchin someone else drive it away?
The only redeeming thing about it that the people that bought the package have four kids,of which two are adopted special needs kids, and the look on their faces, when they said they'd buy was great.I'm feeling very good about the new folks that bought it.
Don't know what I'm going to get for a toad, but it's probably going to be a Grand Cherokee,a Trailblazer or something that can be easily towed four down. All the Ford products need some kind of modification and I'm not going there..

I guess I'm lucky that my wife really likes the Excursion, but I wouldn't take 20 nice Excursions for one of her. I'm thankfully blessed with a keeper!
