I have a 2000 mile ,030 over shortblock ,85' # E5AEC3B with through the block dipstick and YYY in the lifter valley. What is it from and what is the correct block paint color?
Thank you Sir. I am trying to sell it so wanted to paint it the original color to help sell it. I personally like Ford blue but wondered what the factory used in 85'. I will keep looking. Chaz
the "new ford grey" looks awesome on engine blocks and heads. i did a 68 mustang with a e7 block and afr 185 heads painted the block grey and the heads are of course alum. looked sweet in a black engine compart.
