I have a 76. From what I have seen and read, the lower race track molding was only offered on the 78/79 trucks. I really like the look of the 2 tone paint with the inside of the molding being the 2nd color. will this trim fit a 76 without a lot of modifications? Its a great way to break the colors up, I just dont know if the wheel wells and door lengths and what not would be the same and let me just slap it on or if it would be just a little off in some areas. any help is greatly appreciated!
should work fine, With no problems. I think the only thing that changed between 73 two 79 was the grills and other miner things. but no changes in body panels.
If you are interested, I have a full race track trim set for sale. It includes the upper and lower, and some trim for the tailgate. Shoot me an email at athollinger(at)gmail.com if you are interested. The upper trim that is on your truck will not work with the lower trim, What you have is called styleside moulding. The stuff that I have is called upper and lower racetrack moulding. The difference is that the upper is molded to accept the lower trim. Here is a link to the LMC page that shows all the parts: LMC Truck Parts - Page 26
They will work on any reg cab long bed truck 1973-1979.
