yeah, the weather has been so nice. I got the Ball joints changed in the bronco. NOw the ingnition switch went out. Changed the switch and the lock cylinder, its still not right. I think the rod is messed up, I have no idea how to change it, or if I can even get the parts to change it.

You might be better off just changing the whole column out Dave.
apparently it is a farely commen problem in all older vehicals with tilt colums. The "ignition rack" goes bad. It's a $16 part, hopefully i can get it on tommorow, and we will see what happens from there.

I wonder if that's the problem with the column in the 96 I have in the shop now. It will start in park, but I can't shift it out of park once it is running.

well, he ignition rack was deffently the problem, it was in two peices no the problem I am having is, that I cant get the tilt mechanicism part to get the new one in. I am going to stop over the dealer tommorow after work, and hopefully they can give me some pointers.
